Role Overview
Position: Field Service Appliance Technician
Core Duties of a Field Service Appliance Technician:
- Follow operating instructions
- Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns
- Maintain truck supplies and inventory
- Work with manufacturers for technical assistance
- Document service calls using paperless forms
Requirements of a Field Service Appliance Technician:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be drug-free, obtain a clean criminal background, and Have a DUI free driving record
- Have a valid driver’s license
- Ability to push/pull up to 50 lbs. without accommodations
- Have a professional neat appearance and strong work ethic
- Produce 2 professional references
- Preferred: 2–5 years mechanical experience
Training & Pay of a Field Service Appliance Technician:
Training Phase (4 months):
- Pay: $18–$20/hour (based on skillset)
Post-Training:
- Salary: $40,000 annually
- Plus: 8% commission on repair work
- Eligibility for a $500 monthly working performance bonus
Additional incentives:
- tool rent-to-own program
- Company-issued pickup truck, cell phone, and laptop provided
Schedule of a Field Service Appliance Technician:
- Monday–Friday, starting at 8 AM until calls are complete
- Rotating on-call schedule (every 12–15 weeks)
